Code Editor Tutorial

Requirements

  • MXSPLI 1.0.4 or later.
  • MXSPLI Code Editor.

MXSPLI is not working?

MXSPLI may not be working because you don't have administrative permissions and the files can't be created.

We recommend you to open Properties and go to the Compatibility tab, then click the Run this program as an administrator check box.

Now reopen it it will start working.

Creating the Project

Now you will get a command prompt window and a window that asks for the project name.

For this tutorial we are going to use "Project" as our project name. It should look something like this:

Ok, now you will get a window with all the project files on the left and the code in the right.

There will be two files created by default called: Project.mcode and Code.mcode.

Now we need to test if everything works. Click the Project.mcode file on the left and click "Run" then on the context menu click "Interpret (Run)". Now you will see a console window that shows you the message:

Please modify the code...
Press any key to continue . . .

If something went wrong...

If something went wrong, you should report the bug at Issues or at Discussion.
